If you are looking for a good web host that supports file transfer via the FTP File Transfer Protocol, I would reccomend you trying BlueHost. It is a perfect and well known web host, the choice of many web masters.
You can host unlimited web sites with them and besides FTP they support all common hosting features like PHP, MySQL databases, Ruby, etc.
You shall not regret going with Bluehost. I host my four big sites with them and am just fine with them. Hostmosnter and Hostgator are good web hosts as well, but my choice is Bluehost.
